JAI EL-2800C-CXP JAI’s Elite EL-2800C-CXP Color 2.8 megapixel CCD camera with CoaXPress interface. The EL-2800M-CXP (monochrome) and EL-2800C-CXP (color) are two new members in JAI's Elite Series, a family of high performance industrial cameras designed for applications where image fidelity is paramount. These new 2.8 megapixels cameras (with CoaXPress interface) utilize advanced Sony technology (ICX674 2/3” progressive scan) featuring EXview HAD CCD II technology. The EL-2800 cameras deliver excellent sensitivity, improved NIR response, reduced smear, higher quantum efficiency and large image uniformity while minimizing shutter leakage and readout noise for an overall supreme image quality. The cameras can run as high as 54.7 frames/s at full resolution (1920 x 1440 pixels) and at 60 frames/s in HD-mode - 1080 P60 (1080 x 1920 pixels), currently makng them the fastest industrial cameras on the market based on the ICX674 sensor. In addition to 8, 10 and 12-bit raw Bayer output, the color model (EL-2800C-CXP) can perform in-camera (3x8) color 24-bit RGB interpolation also at 54,7 frames/s. The monochrome model (EL-2800M-CXP) offers excellent NIR sensitivity and supports 1 x 2, 2 x 1, or 2 x 2 binning modes for even greater sensitivity. Both monochrome and color models feature fixed or variable partial scanning modes for increased frame rates, multiple trigger modes, a 256-point look-up table, and more. The dimensions are (HxWxL): 62 x 62 x 55.5 mm Featuring Automatic Level Control (ALC), P-iris control and a programmable 3-axis motorized control capability, the cameras are well suited in outdoor applications with changing lighting conditions such as in traffic imaging, high-end surveillance and sports imaging. The cameras are also suitable for semiconductor inspection, microscopy, and ophthalmology + other areas where high dynamic range, maximum image quality and high light sensitivity are key requirements. The EL-2800M-CXP and EL-2800C-CXP have a single CoaXPress connector, and depending on the data output it's possible to set the cameras at two different configurations: 3.125 Gbps (CXP-3) or 6.25 Gbps (CXP-6). Just like cameras using PMCL interface, cameras with CoaXPress interface need a frame grabber to capture the images. Image information, mains power and control signals (trigger etc.) are transferred via the CoaXPress cable. The advantage of the CoaXPress interface is the ability to apply longer cables compared to other standard interfaces, such as Camera Link and USB. The EL-2800-CXP cameras can handle up to 169 meter long cables running at 54,7 frames/s in 8-bit, 10-bit or 12-bit monochrome and color output. The CoaXPress configuration is set at 3.125 Gigabit/s (CXP-3). For the 3 x 8 (24-bit) RGB output the cable length can be up to 68 meter (at 54,7 frames/s) with a CoaXPress configuration set to 6.25 Gigabit/s (CXP-6). If the cameras are used with 24-bit RGB output but with a frame rate below 27 frames/s, the cable length can be increased to 169 meters.
